2026 IBA ALL STARS

Tour information



The tour dates are Sunday 5 to Thursday 9 July. We are sending both a Wāhine and Tāne team who will each play one official game on Wednesday 8 July in Cairns, QLD. Each squad will be made up of 10 players.

Coach selection



Due to the timing of this kaupapa, the coaching staff for the Wāhine and Tāne teams have been appointed through a targeted selection process by the General Manager. Selection was based on the following criteria:

  • Has whakapapa Māori
  • Committed to all cultural components of the tour
  • Alignment with PMA values and kaupapa
  • Have an association with promoting and supporting Poitūkohu Māori
  • Knowledge of te ao Māori and te reo Māori me ōna tikanga
  • Coaching experience
  • Understanding of the game and ability to lead at this level
  • Ability to build and manage a competitive team

Player selection



An EOI form is linked below and on our platforms inviting players to express their interest for selection into our Wāhine and Tāne teams. Eligibility criteria have been developed that all players must meet. The EOI includes full eligibility and commitment requirements.
